What is there to do in Canfranc and the Aragonese Pyrenees?
Canfranc is a mountain destination with two souls, and it works all year round. The first is its history: the International Station of Canfranc, the monumental 1928 railway station —today the Barceló Canfranc Estación, a Royal Hideaway Hotel— which was a border, a refuge and an escape route during the Second World War. You can visit it on guided tours with access to restricted areas and on a theatrical tour that reconstructs the story of Albert Le Lay, the French customs chief who helped hundreds of people across.
